TORONTO PUBLIC LIBRARY – LOCKE BRANCH

Locke Branch opened January 5, 1949. It was named after George H. Locke who was the Toronto Public Library’s Chief Librarian from 1908 to 1937. Today the Locke Branch is a hub of activity for all ages. It offers books, newspapers, magazines, audiovisual materials, meeting room space, children’s and adult programs, word processing and Internet access. A free library card is available for those who live, work or attend school in Toronto. With one card you can use all of the 99 library branches and also access research and homework databases and websites through www.torontopubliclibrary.ca.
